Owner's Description

Ipoh Town Hall was completed in 1916 after extended construction period of over 3 year due to shortage of materials during the early part of the First World War.

It is one of 3 colonial era buildings in Ipoh. The building is designed by well known British architect Arthur Benison Hubback. The other two are Ipoh High Court and Ipoh Railway Station, there are just short distance apart. Ipoh Railway Station is on the opposite side of the road and Ipoh High Court is the building next door.
